The dolls are illustrations of the characters from my stories. I do not manufacture the dolls, neither do I sell them. I do all of the customization and painting, as well as most of the garment design and construction.

About my Ziggy, Tommy and Jareth dolls: I appreciate the interest, but they are not for sale or replication. They are pieces of fanart, created by me for my own enjoyment and as a humble tribute to the artist I admire. Unless you are David Bowie, I cannot make a custom Bowie doll for you. Please, accept my apologies.

Hi there,
Short answer is: yes. Long answer is: it depends on the desired quality. For a dirty job on a single artist doll head all you need is some Apoxy Sculpt (or some other clay), but for professional quality resin casting you'll need quality raw polyurethane (toxic!) and a vacuum chamber. Since I've never cast a head myself, I suggest you join The Joint, it has great resources for dollmakers. Also, before deciding on the project, think of the target audience. The BJD market is very involved and pretty saturated.
Good luck!
